La notte dei Grammy Awards, gli Oscar della musica americana consegnati 31 gennaio 2010 a Staples Centre a Los Angeles, ha avuto due regine: la ventenne Taylor Swift e Beyoncé.

La Swift è uscita con quattro Grammy, compreso il più importante, quello per l’album dell’anno. Il suo «Fearless», che negli Stati Uniti ha venduto quasi 5 milioni e mezzo di copie, ha vinto anche come miglior album country.
Beyoncé, invece, ha riscritto la storia aggiudicandosi 6 Grammy (il record per una donna), tra i quali quello per la canzone dell’anno («Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)») e la migliore interpretazione pop.
